Description:

Jabil is seeking an experienced and business-minded Assistant General Counsel to provide strategic legal support for our global supply chain organization. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to procurement, operations, supply chain, manufacturing, engineering, and executive leadership teams, helping drive commercial outcomes while managing legal, regulatory, and compliance risks across a complex global network.

The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in commercial contracting, global trade and regulatory compliance, supply chain risk management, and strategic supplier relationships within a multinational manufacturing, technology, or industrial environment.

What can you expect to do?

Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a broad range of complex commercial agreements, including master supply agreements, procurement contracts, statements of work, licensing agreements, logistics agreements, manufacturing agreements, and strategic supplier partnerships.
Provide practical legal guidance on global supply chain matters, including sourcing strategies, supplier qualification and onboarding, contract management, business continuity planning, and dispute resolution.
Advise business leaders on legal and regulatory requirements impacting global supply chain operations, including import/export controls, customs compliance, trade compliance (ITAR, EAR), anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws (FCPA, UK Bribery Act), sanctions, human rights regulations, and environmental compliance requirements.
Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and commercial risks related to supplier performance, supply disruptions, force majeure events, intellectual property protection, product liability, cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory enforcement.
Partner closely with procurement and supply chain teams to develop contracting strategies for key supplier relationships and high-value commercial transactions.
Support vendor management and third-party risk programs, including due diligence, compliance reviews, and ongoing supplier governance initiatives.
Assist with investigations, claims, disputes, and litigation matters involving suppliers, customers, logistics providers, and other business partners.
Develop and deliver training programs, policies, and guidance documents to enhance legal and compliance awareness across supply chain and procurement organizations.
Monitor and interpret emerging laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting global manufacturing, supply chain operations, sustainability initiatives, and responsible sourcing practices.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and external counsel to ensure timely and practical resolution of legal matters while supporting business objectives.

What is the experience needed to be successful in this role?

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
Active license and good standing to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
Minimum of 10 years of legal experience, including significant experience supporting commercial transactions, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, or technology organizations.
Demonstrated expertise drafting, negotiating, and advising on complex domestic and international commercial agreements.
Strong knowledge of global trade regulations, import/export controls, customs matters, sanctions programs, and international compliance frameworks.
Experience advising multinational businesses operating in highly regulated and fast-paced environments.
Proven ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives and provide pragmatic, solutions-oriented legal counsel.
Strong understanding of supply chain risk management, supplier governance, and third-party compliance programs.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to influence cross-functional teams and build trusted relationships with leaders at all levels of the organization.
Experience supporting global manufacturing, electronics, technology, industrial, aerospace, defense, or other complex supply chain environments is highly preferred.
