Position Summary: This is an exciting opportunity to join Arcadium Lithium's Law Department as Assistant General Counsel, Global Finance and Regulatory Compliance.

This is a front-line role for a confident, proactive, business-minded lawyer that can independently manage highly diverse work and demands from all levels of the organization in an efficient and practical manner. This role will report to Arcadium Lithium's Associate General Counsel and will serve as primary legal counsel to the company's Global Finance team and will support global regulatory compliance activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal and compliance support to the Company's global accounting, corporate finance, external reporting, tax, treasury, internal audit, investor relations, and IT teams
  • Support internal teams and manage external counsel on equity, debt, and other financing transactions
  • Provide legal support on intercompany agreements, corporate reorganizations, tax inquiries/audits, and other tax matters
  • Assist with internal compliance audits, enterprise risk management activities, and insurance matters
  • Support global regulatory initiatives and projects, as needed, including with respect to environmental, health and safety, product registrations (REACH, etc.), FDA, import/export, safety data sheets and labeling, chemical inventory (TSCA, etc.), transportation regulations, etc.
  • Assist the Company's Data Privacy Officer with global compliance activities
  • Provide legal and compliance support to the Company's global sustainability team
  • Provide ERISA support to Human Resources, as needed
  • Assist the Associate General Counsel with special projects

Education and Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years in-house legal experience, supporting finance or regulatory functions
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively address and influence all levels of the organization, including the ability to effectively communicate how an issue impacts Arcadium Lithium from both a business and legal perspective
  • A practical, hands-on approach to the practice of law with a high degree of intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm to expand into other areas of practice needed to support the growing needs of the business
  • A business partner, who likes working side-by-side with businesspeople, and is receptive to opposing views
  • The ability to work well both independently and as part of a highly collaborative and an international team, in a fast-paced cross-cultural environment
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to prioritize and follow through on numerous projects simultaneously
  • A general understanding of, or an interest in, manufacturing operations
  • Strong academic credentials and bar admission (preferably North Carolina or Pennsylvania)
  • International/global experience a plus
