Job Description Summary:Provides guidance and counseling to clients, family, and staff on how to best navigate the social and legal issues faced by clients and their families.

Essential Functions:
- Interviews and provides guidance to clients and their families, and assists clients and staff with relevant referrals and agency applications.
- Consults with staff regarding environmental, social and legal issues and assists with problem solving on those issues.
- Provides direct legal representation of clients as requested.
- Acts as liaison between the clients and referral agencies.
- Develops relationships with relevant community resources in order to support clients and assist in navigating community systems.
- Maintains appropriate records and participates in data collection relevant to and duties, including conflict of interest rules for Ohio attorneys.
- Provides input into policies, procedures, and processes. Participates in committees and meetings, attends required training, and maintains current knowledge of relevant procedures.
Education Requirement:
Juris Doctorate, required.
Licensure Requirement:
Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio, required.

- Ability to collaborate across a multidisciplinary system.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers.
- Ability to manage confidential information in a complex hospital environment.
Experience:
- Five years of experience as an attorney, required.
- Three years of experience in the area of domestic violence and family law, preferred.
