Position Summary:The District Attorney's Office is recruiting to fill multiple full-time Assistant District Attorney (ADA) positions in the District Attorney's office for Fond du Lac County, located in Fond du Lac, WI. These are State positions in the unclassified service. These positions have an anticipated start date of Monday, October 6, 2025.

The Office Currently Has 11 Attorneys, Which Will Expand to 15 Attorneys in October, Yielding an Office with Significant Prosecutorial Resources and Manageable Caseloads. the District Attorney and Deputy District Attorney Have Combined Over 25 Years of District Attorney Office Management Experience. Both New and Experienced Attorneys Joining the Office Will Find an Environment Where They May Thrive and Grow as A Member of A Cohesive Professionally-Led Team.
The Office Structure Is Designed to Offer Both Entry Level and Advanced Prosecution Positions Including Criminal Traffic and Owi, Sexual Assault/child Abuse/domestic Violence, Drug Delivery/criminal Organizations and General Prosecution/street Crime. upon The Demonstration of Sufficient Experience and Success, Attorneys Will Have the Opportunity to Assist the Families of Homicide Victims Within These Areas of Expertise. Additionally, a Financial/white Collar Crime Position Is Planned to Be Developed in The Coming Months.
Salary Information:
The Starting Salary for The Position Will Be $78,686 Annually ($37.83 per Hour).

Attorneys Who Are Currently Employed by The State of Wisconsin Are Invited to Apply and May Be Able to Transfer at Their Current Pay Rate. Attorneys Who Have Left the Position of Wisconsin Elected District Attorney or Assistant District Attorney Within the Last Five Years May Be Able to Be Hired at A Wage Rate Above the Minimum.
