Description:Assistant Director of Law - Litigation
The City of Cleveland Department of Law is seeking a civil litigation attorney to handle civil rights and general litigation. Representative caseload will include personal injury, property damage, breach of contract, taxpayer and mandamus actions, declaratory/injunctive relief, civil rights under 42 USC 1983, employment, plaintiff litigation and appeals.
Ohio Bar membership in good standing is required. Candidates must have meticulous attention to detail, be self-motivated, have handled civil cases in state and/or federal court, have strong writing skills, be able to analyze complex issues of law and work well in a team setting. Preferred experience includes insurance defense, plaintiff personal injury or civil rights litigation.
