Characteristic Work
An Assistant Director of Law in the Civil Division is under the general supervision of the Director of Law and the Deputy Director of Law.

Applicants interested in this position must be willing to engage in a broad range of municipal law and various other duties, including: drafting and reviewing contracts and local legislation for compliance with federal, state, and local laws; compliance with sunshine and ethics' laws; developing and/or maintaining proper record retention schedules; land use and zoning law; constitutional law; litigation and administrative law; labor and employment law; and interacting with and/or providing legal counseling to personnel within the City Administration, City Council, and various administrative boards and commissions.

This is an unclassified position.

Minimum Qualifications:
The hired employee is highly recommended to establish residency in Summit County within six 6 months of employment.
