Description:
The Bremer County Attorney is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Bremer County Attorney to work in a positive and calm professional working environment.Major Functions:
- Prosecution of criminal and juvenile cases, assigned docket will be based on experience and competencies.
- Representing the State of Iowa and Bremer County in court proceedings.
- Assisting law enforcement with investigations and charging decisions, including outside of normal office hours.
- Assisting HHS and JCS with juvenile justice matters and proceedings.
- Collaboration with law enforcement and partner agencies to provide high quality victim-centered crime victim services.
- Opportunities for additional training, community outreach, and public engagement.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar of the State of Iowa.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Not required to live in Bremer County, but must be able to commute to/from Bremer County Courthouse.
- No prior experience necessary.
- Positive disposition toward the legal profession.
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug testing.
Salary and benefits:
Salary range $80,000 - $89,246.00, depending on experience.
