Moog's Corporate Group is looking for a new Assistant Corporate Counsel – Supply Chain!
As the Assistant Corporate Counsel for Supply Chain, you will be the primary legal business partner and escalation point for Moog's indirect procurement function and will act as the legal liaison for company-wide direct procurement initiatives. This role requires your expertise in commercial law, contract negotiation, and international trade regulations. You will also proactively provide legal guidance to help scale operations while minimizing risk across the company's network of vendors, suppliers, and logistics partners.

To qualify for the Assistant Corporate Counsel for Supply Chain role, here is what we would expect you to bring to Moog…
- A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- An active member in good standing with a state bar (preferably New York).
- Over five (5) years of legal experience, with significant experience in supply chain, procurement, and commercial transactions.
- Proven ability to draft, negotiate, and manage complex commercial agreements.
- Deep knowledge of contract law, commercial law (including the UCC), and international trade regulations.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills, to include the ability to communicate effectively with both legal and non-legal audiences.
- Excellent business judgment with the ability to balance business goals with legal risks.
- Experience advising on intellectual property, cybersecurity, or data privacy issues as they relate to supply chain partners.
- Exposure to litigation and dispute resolution processes related to commercial or supply chain matters.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at one time and ability to function effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Must live local to the Buffalo, NY area to work onsite.

As the Assistant Corporate Counsel for Supply Chain, you will have the following responsibilities…
- Contract management: Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of complex commercial agreements related to the indirect procurement operations. This includes contracts for purchasing, manufacturing, supply, logistics, warehousing, transportation, vendors, third-party services and software licenses.
- Risk mitigation: Identify, assess, and manage legal risks associated with contractual matters, supplier relationships, product liability and supply chain disruptions.
- Dispute resolution: Assist in resolving contract-related claims, disputes and other legal matters that arise with vendors and suppliers.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with other internal teams, including Finance, IT, indirect procurement & business unit direct procurement teams, to provide actionable, business-focused legal advice.
- Legal process improvement: Help build and improve legal department processes and tools to increase efficiency and scalability.
- Market intelligence: Stay current on emerging legal and regulatory trends and changes in law that may impact supply chain operations.
