Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird seeks Assistant Attorney Generals to serve as prosecutors with the Iowa Joint Fraud and Trafficking Initiative.

Description:
  • (3) persons selected for this role will prosecute criminal cases in federal court while cross-designated as Special Assistant U.S. Attorneys and working out of the office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Iowa in Des Moines, Davenport, or Council Bluffs. This is a three-year term appointment.
  • (2) persons selected for this role will prosecute criminal cases in federal court while cross-designated as Special Assistant U.S. Attorneys and working out of the Cedar Rapids office of the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Iowa. This is a three-year term appointment.

Requirements and Preferences:
Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Iowa, uphold the highest professional standards, and be committed to public service and the rule of law. The most competitive applicants will have experience trying cases in federal court, particularly in criminal matters.

Pay and Benefits:
The salary for this position is $63,585.60-$156,499.20, depending on experience.
