The Office of the West Virginia Attorney General is seeking a full-time attorney to join its Arts & Education Division to represent the Department of Homeland Security. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of five (5) years of litigation experience. This position is responsible for litigation in administrative forums, state circuit courts, federal district courts, and appellate work before the West Virginia Intermediate Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia. Responsibilities include both litigation representation and providing general counsel and advice to the Department and its sub-agencies. The position is based at the State Capitol in Charleston, West Virginia.Strong written and oral advocacy skills are required. Experience representing government agencies is preferred but not required.
Candidates must have an active West Virginia law license.
