Scott & Associates, P.C., is a well-established multi-state legal recoveries law firm seeking a motivated Attorney to join our team.

Since our inception in May 2000, we've evolved into a significant player in debt recovery litigation, providing comprehensive solutions for major banks and creditors.

This position is a salary plus commission-eligible opportunity with no billable hour requirement. Commissions are based on attorney-negotiated settlements.

Position Summary:
The Arbitration Attorney will be responsible for intake, strategy, case management, and reporting for all arbitration files firm-wide. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams while managing a high-volume docket. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for arbitration-related issues and will drive matters from initial demand through final resolution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Arbitration Case Intake & Review
    • Conduct initial assessment of arbitration referrals to determine viability, required documentation, and next steps.
    • Evaluate consumer agreements, arbitration clauses, and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Case Management & Strategy
    • Manage a portfolio of arbitration matters across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring timely and accurate filings.
    • Draft and review pleadings, responses, motions, settlement proposals, and arbitration submissions.
    • Represent clients in arbitration hearings, conferences, and negotiations (in person, telephonically, or virtually as required).
  • Reporting & Compliance
    • Maintain up-to-date case tracking, status updates, and reporting to internal teams and clients.
    • Ensure all arbitration activities comply with federal and state regulations, client guidelines, and firm protocols.
    • Work with compliance staff to monitor rule changes in arbitration forums (e.g., AAA, JAMS) and adjust procedures accordingly.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Coordinate with intake, litigation, operations, and client relations teams to ensure seamless case flow.
    • Provide guidance on arbitration processes to paralegals and support staff.
    • Participate in developing or refining firm procedures to improve efficiency in arbitration handling.
