Venable LLP's Administrative and Regulatory Litigation Group (https://www.venable.com/services/practices/administrative-and-regulatory-litigation) seeks an experienced appellate associate or federal appellate judicial clerk to join the practice in the Washington, DC office.Launched in January 2026, the group is a small, growing team focused on appellate and regulatory litigation, working on complex administrative and constitutional law matters. The position offers the opportunity to take substantial responsibility for high-stakes cases, including Administrative Procedure Act and constitutional challenges, appellate and amicus briefs, and client counseling on rulemakings and emerging administrative-law issues. The group combines the close collaboration and hands-on experience of a small, government-focused practice with Venable's broader regulatory and litigation resources.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills and a strong interest in appellate, administrative, and constitutional law. Experience must include a federal appellate judicial clerkship. All submissions must include a resume and law school transcripts. Candidates must have a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and must be admitted to, or pursuing admission to, the DC Bar.

The salary range for associate positions is $215,000 to $355,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of job-related factors including, but not limited to, years of related experience, level of education, skills, credentials and certifications, responsibilities and performance.
