Job Summary:A busy boutique worker's compensation practice located in the heart of Queens is looking for an associate attorney admitted in New York. We are looking for an attorney, who is interested in learning all aspects of litigation from inception to trial. Attorney should be motivated and interested in doing trials. Although we provide the necessary training, experience is preferred.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workers' compensation law and a passion for advocating on behalf of injured workers. This role involves representing clients in workers' compensation claims, providing legal advice, and ensuring that clients receive the benefits they are entitled to. Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in workers' compensation claims, including hearings, trials, and appeals.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding their rights and obligations under workers' compensation laws.
- Conduct thorough investigations and gather evidence to support clients' claims.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with medical professionals, vocational experts, and other relevant parties to build strong cases.
- Manage a caseload efficiently, ensuring timely and effective resolution of cases.
- Advocate for clients' best interests in all legal proceedings
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the state.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in workers' compensation law.
- Strong understanding of workers' compensation laws and procedures.
- Excellent negotiation and litigation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
