Summary of Duties and ResponsibilitiesAAGs in the Law Enforcement Training Bureau conduct training for state and local law enforcement, court employees, and prosecutors on a variety of criminal justice issues; including but not limited to Crime Victims' Rights, Hate Crimes and Sexual Assault Investigations.
AAGs assigned to the Law Enforcement Training Bureau will plan, develop, coordinate, and conduct in-person and on-line training on criminal justice issues. These attorneys coordinate special projects, assignments, and activities as assigned. They may be assigned cases to prosecute around the state. In addition, they will attend meetings on behalf of the bureau as well as relevant training. They will also serve as a resource for prosecutors and law enforcement on relevant topics.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be licensed to practice in Illinois at the time of application. Ideal candidates will have a background in criminal prosecution, experience conducting professional presentations, and have strong public speaking skills. This position does require travel.
Supplemental Information:
Salary: Salaries are commensurate with number of years of practice as a licensed attorney and range from $ 82,000 to $ 107,550.
