The Patent Engineering Summer Internship is a campaign to recruit graduate students to join Haynes Boone's Intellectual Property Department. Interns will work closely with attorneys and patent agents to gain firsthand experience training on what patents are, the laws about patents, how to obtain patents (called patent prosecution), and practical experience in writing and communicating about patents. Mentoring opportunities will also be provided.The internship is paid. The internship will take place in the summer of 2027 and will offer a paid eight week internship and will take place in our Dallas-North office.
This program is for students with a strong academic background or relevant work experience in electrical/ computer engineering, computer science, or physics. BS degree is required. Successful candidates will be considered for a full-time position after graduation.
