Are you a law student with significant experience working on a college campus? Wondering about how to transition into the field of higher education law? This fellowship is awarded to a law student with professional experience in higher education administration who is eager to use that experience in their legal career. Fellows work closely with our Higher Education Team as the attorneys provide practical legal advice to institutions of higher education across the country on topics such as:
  • Title IX and Civil Rights
  • Student Conduct
  • Shared Governance
  • Employment Law
  • Constitutional Issues
  • Accreditation Disputes
  • General Business Transactions
  • Investigations and Hearings

Fellows are provided with summer employment and the opportunity for employment, based on performance, as an attorney upon graduation and successful admission to the Bar. During their summer, Fellows are provided with training and assist with research, writing, and brainstorming to consider the best ways to help clients navigate their situations.

The successful Fellow will be:
  • A current or former higher education administrator
  • A self-starter and strong writer
  • A collaborator who can build and maintain relationships
  • Enthusiastic about college and university environments
