Reed Smith LLP is currently seeking exceptional 2L candidates to join the firm's 2027 Summer Associate Program in our Philadelphia office. Please submit the following required materials with your application: current resume, cover letter, undergraduate transcript, and law school transcript (unofficial versions are acceptable). Submission of a legal writing sample is optional.Our summer associate program offers an immersive, hands-on experience that provides a realistic glimpse into life as an associate at Reed Smith. Summer associates will have the opportunity to engage in client projects across a wide range of practice areas, allowing them to explore their specific interests. Throughout the program, they'll receive dedicated support from both partner and associate mentors, as well as personalized guidance from writing instructors to refine their analytical and persuasive writing skills. In addition to practical experience, Reed Smith's Learning & Development Summer Academy courses will enrich on-the-job training, covering key topics such as Essentials of Effective Legal Writing, AI and Practical Law Training, and the business dynamics of today's law firm. The program also includes a variety of social events, providing ample opportunities to connect with colleagues and fellow summer associates in a more relaxed setting. The compensation we expect to pay for this position is $4,327 per week.
