Parker Poe is excited to expand our 2027 Summer Associate program. We have an opportunity to add a Charleston office based 2L Summer Associate position to our current class.Our Summer Associate Program provides law students with meaningful, hands-on experience working alongside attorneys across a variety of practice areas. Summer associates work on substantive assignments comparable to those handled by junior associates, gaining exposure to complex legal matters for businesses, local governments, and other clients throughout the Southeast. The program is designed to help students explore different practice areas while developing practical legal skills through real-world projects, mentorship, professional development, and client interaction opportunities.
Summer associates are paired with mentors, receive regular guidance and evaluation throughout the summer, and participate in social, professional, and pro bono activities that foster connections across the firm. The program typically lasts eight weeks beginning in mid-May and ending in Mid-July.
Parker Poe intentionally maintains a program size aligned with its long-term hiring needs, with the goal of developing future associates who will build successful and lasting careers at the firm.
