Description:
Before submitting your application, please consult your school's recruitment policies regarding the timing of applications for summer employment to ensure compliance. As a Summer Associate at Baker Botts, we want you to experience what it is like to be a lawyer within our offices - both working with clients and getting to know your colleagues on a professional and personal level. During the Summer Program, the firm provides you with many opportunities to gain substantive experiences and practical know-how, in addition to meeting our lawyers and gaining a better understanding of our firm's capabilities and culture.
We are currently accepting 2L applications for the Summer of 2027 in our U.S. locations (Austin, Dallas, Houston, New York, Palo Alto, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.). If you receive and accept an offer to join the 2027 2L Summer Associate Program, you will spend 4 weeks with us as 1L in June 2026. In addition to the weekly summer associate salary, 1L summer associates will receive a $25,000 stipend* to be paid upon completion of the 4-week program. You may decide to apply part of that stipend toward your living expenses, should you (for example) choose to spend some portion of your 1L summer working in an unpaid position in public service or with non-profit organizations.
