The Music Group of Reed Smith LLP is currently seeking an exceptional 2L or 3L law student to join the firm in our Century City office.The Century City-based music team within the Entertainment and Media Group is a market leader in music transactions, representing top-tier clients in music M&A/catalog acquisitions, talent representation, and other core-music industry transactions. This internship is designed to offer unparalleled opportunity for aspiring music attorneys to gain hands-on experience with high-stakes transactions, precedent-setting agreements, and market-defining deals, while giving our team the ability to identify superstar legal talent for potential future employment prospects and leverage the vast amount of market setting agreements that we have access to.
Qualifications:
- Law student (2L/3L) with a demonstrated interest in music law, intellectual property, and entertainment transactions.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to distill complex agreements into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent legal research and writing abilities.
- Passion for the music industry is essential and an understanding of copyright law is a plus.
