The Michael Best Apprenticeship Program is designed to increase the number of attorneys who want to both pursue careers in the legal industry and promote access and engagement in the legal profession.
We are currently accepting applications for the Michael Best Apprenticeship Program in our Salt Lake City, Utah office for Summer 2026. This 10-week program will provide a unique experience to a 1L law student, incorporating both law firm and corporate in-house exposure.
Our goal is to offer the ultimate career development opportunity with exposure beyond the law firm, and for this apprenticeship, we are partnering with our valued client, 1-800 Contacts.

Position Requirements:
- Currently enrolled for 2025-2026 school year as a 1L law student at BYU or the University of Utah
- Demonstrated interest in promoting access and engagement at the firm and throughout the legal profession
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Legal analysis skills
- Valid authorization to work in the U.S.
