Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work on interesting and challenging assignments that will help grow your skill set.
- Research and draft legal memoranda and other documents; compile, summarize and analyze factual material
- Propounding and responding to discovery
- Demonstrate creativity and learn to efficiently use relevant software tools, analytical methods and computer models to develop solutions
- Gain experience developing and maintaining electronic databases, spreadsheets and other files as dictated by project needs
- Participate in a positive team environment and work hard to meet client deadlines and quality expectations
- Build client relationships and establish confidence in our firm with every conversation
Qualifications:
- Third-year law student who plans to take the July California Bar exam
- Strong passion for litigation and advocacy
- Organizational fit: We are freedom-loving patriots
- High level of maturity, good judgment, intellectual curiosity and willingness to assume responsibility
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced office environment
- Must be able to type 40-words per minute
- Must be an excellent communicator
- Computer skills, including proficiency in Google Suite
- We favor candidates with well-rounded life experience
