Summary: Summer opportunity for first-year law students seeking real-life experience working in a multi-practice law firm

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Research relevant case law and statutory precedent.
  • Analyze legal documents and briefs, ensuring accurate statement and depiction of facts, case law, and precedent provided.
  • Prepare various types of correspondence regarding assigned matters.
  • Prepare a variety of litigation documents, including affidavits, petitions, discovery, motions, and pleadings.
  • Draft basic corporate documents, including meeting minutes, resolutions, and disclosure schedules.
  • Assist with conference call negotiations, witness fact investigations, and depositions.
  • Attend and assist with negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials.
  • Maintain exhibits and prepare and organize various types of tangible evidence as needed for court appearances.
  • Regular in-persona attendance, and participation in various attorney-shadowing opportunities.
