Haynes and Boone, LLP is seeking candidates for the following 2024 1L Summer Programs. Please indicate your office/program preferences in the Position Data section of the application.

Traditional 1L Program: A nine- to ten-week clerkship beginning May 13 that offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the daily life of a Haynes Boone attorney. (OFFICES PARTICIPATING: Austin, Charlotte, Dallas, Houston, New York, Northern Virginia, Orange County, San Antonio, and Washington, D.C.)

Diversity Scholarships: The Haynes Boone Diversity Scholarship has been established to attract outstanding students to the private practice of law while helping these students be successful in law school through both work and mentorship experiences. Our Diversity Scholarship is offered along with our traditional nine- to ten-week paid summer clerkship with Haynes Boone beginning May 13. The scholarship is paid during the school year. For the 2024 Summer Program, we are offering Diversity Scholarships to 1L, 2L, and First-Year Associate hires as outlined below. We encourage students to apply to be a recipient of the scholarship by uploading a brief diversity statement to the Documents section of the application. 1L Diversity Scholarship
  • $10,000 if they receive and accept our 1L summer offer
  • $7,500 if they receive and accept our 2L summer offer
  • $7,500 if they receive and accept our First-Year Associate offer
  • Potential Total Scholarship: $25,000

Dallas Fast Track Program: A one-week clerkship that is an ideal complement to other summer plans and provides the opportunity to familiarize candidates with the Dallas legal market and life at a large law firm. The 2024 program will run from July 20-26. (OFFICE PARTICIPATING: Dallas)

New York Fast Track Program: This is a brand new three-day clerkship that is an ideal complement to other summer plans and provides the opportunity to familiarize candidates with the New York legal market and life at a large law firm. The 2024 program will run from July 21-23. (OFFICE PARTICIPATING: New York)

IP 1L Program: A nine- to ten-week clerkship beginning May 13 in our various intellectual property practice groups. This program is for candidates with an academic background or relevant work experience in engineering, computer science, or physics. Candidates interested in being considered for this program are required to upload an undergraduate transcript to the Documents section of the application. (OFFICES PARTICIPATING: Austin, Dallas, Dallas-North, and San Francisco)
