Miller Canfield is now accepting applications for 2026 1L summer associate positions in our Detroit office. Our summer associate program, held over ten weeks from mid-May to late-July provides students the opportunity to gain valuable, substantive experience in a variety of practice areas. The program provides excellent legal, social, and professional development opportunities to students as they get to know Miller Canfield. We encourage interested students to apply directly regardless of whether we will be present at an on-campus or other school-sponsored interview programs.

Applicants must be current 1Ls in good standing at an ABA-accredited law school. We seek students with excellent academic credentials, strong writing skills, and extracurricular involvement. Maturity, strong interpersonal skills, excellent judgment, and a sense of humor are excellent indicators of success at Miller Canfield.
