Duane Morris LLP's and Liberty Mutual's 2026 summer associate program will be a ten week in-person program in Boston, beginning on Thursday, May 28 and ending on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. The 3 phases of the program are: May/June - Duane Morris, June/July - Liberty Mutual, and July/August - Duane Morris. The portion of the clerkship with Liberty Mutual will take place in person for 4-6 weeks in Boston during that timeframe and will include a 2-day on-site orientation on June 1-2 at Liberty Mutual's offices in Boston. The program at Liberty Mutual will focus on insurance law, and specifically coverage and reinsurance law.The Duane Morris/Liberty Mutual 1L summer associate program is designed to provide law students with insight into the issues and tasks handled by in-house counsel, shadowing in-house counsel, while fostering a sense of community and connection among the participants and Duane Morris and Liberty Mutual hosts. The program balances interesting, real work assignments with robust training opportunities, mentorships, and social and networking activities designed to foster connections that will last throughout your career.
Duane Morris will compensate the selected student at our market 1L rate (currently anticipated to be $3,654/week, less taxes and withholding).
Eligibility:
All first-year law students with an interest in insurance and contract law are welcome and encouraged to apply.
