Description:

McMurray Henriks LLP has an immediate opening for a litigation attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience. We are a plaintiff-side civil rights firm, and this role is built around that practice: police misconduct, excessive force, and related high-impact matters in state and federal court.

The ideal candidate has litigation experience in both state and federal court, exceptional writing, analytical, and research skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:
  • Draft and research motions, including ex parte applications and oppositions to summary judgment
  • Argue motions before state and federal courts
  • Trial preparation and second chair
  • Opportunity to brief and argue in appellate court
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Manage case deadlines
