The Idaho State Appellate Public Defender consists of two distinct units. The Capital Litigation Unit (CLU) represents indigent clients who have been convicted of murder and sentenced to death. The Appellate Unit represents indigent clients in juvenile, misdemeanor, felony, and post-conviction appeals.
