Abramson Labor Group is seeking a highly motivated, well-qualified Attorney to grow our Workers' Compensation practice in Texas. ALG currently has a large and very successful Workers' Compensation practice in California and is looking to expand into Texas. This is a unique opportunity for the right individual, as the candidate will be the first Attorney in this location which will be challenging and rewarding. The candidate will be expected to work closely with our managing attorneys to help build a very successful Workers' Compensation practice in Texas.

Essential functions of the role include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Attorneys are expected to manage a docket of Workers' Compensation cases to resolution.
  • Attorneys report directly to an assigned Senior Attorney and are supported substantively and administratively by a team of paralegals.
  • Attorneys collaborate with Worker's Compensation staff to the extent necessary to achieve a high standard of excellence when serving clients.
  • Defend and take depositions.
  • Make required court appearances.
  • Must be comfortable providing guidance to non-attorneys as needed.
  • Responsible for bringing positivity to the workplace and leading non-attorneys by example.

Requirements:
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in either defense or plaintiff's Workers Compensation work preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Candidates must be in good standing with the Texas State Bar.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
