Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies that support In-Home Medical Care's growth and ongoing operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor, role model, and coach to leaders to drive critical talent-related business decisions, including organization design, employee relations, succession planning, and change management to make employee-related decisions in a high growth environment
- In partnership with the VP Talent Management & Development, lead talent review discussions; provide strategic HR insight into business unit realignments, succession planning, talent assessment, talent development, and leadership pipelines
- Develop and execute on strategic workforce plan for business in partnership with COEs
- Monitor overall effectiveness of HR programs and services by monitoring key talent metrics to identify and analyze People related issues, root causes, and possible levers for solutions
- Collaborate with various People Team functions (Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Total Rewards, etc.) in the policy development, design, implementation, and measurement of people programs
- Contribute a clear vision, direction, and leadership within the HR function that is service-oriented and maintains best practices that lead to excellence in departmental execution
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture that emphasizes employee engagement and People First.
- Interact with/direct outside counsel and manage outside counsel spend
- Develop and review employment contracts, including employment agreements, severance agreements, incentive plan documentation, etc.
- Serve as In-Home Medical Care expert on employment law and related decisions regarding workplace investigations and employee relations as well as other employer obligations (including compliance with applicable employment regulations)
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as internal policies. Proactively identify and manage HR-related risks.

Work Conditions: Ability to lift up to 20lbs. In-Home Medical Care currently supports a hybrid in-person in the office (Chicago) and remote working environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field and Juris Doctor (JD)
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience or experience practicing Labor/Employment law either in house or in a law firm setting; with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations.
- Experience in change management and employee relations initiatives
