Georgetown University Law Center is seeking a visiting faculty member to teach in the first-year Legal Practice program during 2025-26. The position begins July 1, 2025. The faculty member will teach two sections of the first-year reasearch and writing course. Each section meets with the professor two hours per week. Professors select their own texts, design course materials, and assign student grades. Legal Practice faculty at Georgetown also teach a two-hour weekly seminar with six law fellows, who serve as teaching assistants for the first-year students. The visiting faculty member will have the support of current faculty in the program in designing and teaching the first-year course and the law fellow seminar

Qualifications:
Candidates must have superior academic records and expertise in legal research, writing, and analysis. Three years of professional experience beyond law school and teaching experience is preferred.
