Job Description:
As a Law Student Volunteer, you will work closely with the Branch's trial attorneys on assignments in any of the Branch's practice areas and at any phase of district court litigation. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting legal and factual research and analysis
  • Drafting briefs, court fi lings, internal memos, and client letters
  • Assisting trial attorneys in advising clients, developing case strategies, and preparing for court appearances
  • Attending client meetings, moot courts, oral arguments, depositions, and other litigation events
  • Participating in the Branch's robust programming

Qualifications:
We encourage applications from law students who have completed at least one year of law school by the start of the internship. Successful candidates should have:
  • Completed at least one (1) year of law school
  • Excellent writing skills
  • High academic standing
  • U.S. citizenship or national status
  • Ability to pass a background investigation
