Responsibilities and practice:A Worlds Largest Law Firm is seeking an associate with excellent academic credentials and 1-3 years of experience to join our thriving Capital Markets practice. The person hired for this position will work directly with partners and other team members and will contribute to the practice by assuming such responsibilities as:
- Assisting in structuring, preparing documents and preparing disclosure for securitizations and other structured financings and bond offerings
- Assisting in structuring fund formation relating to, and fund investment in, mortgage and other debt-related asset classes
- Contributing to the coordination and execution of successful corporate and securities law transactions including the formation of real estate investment trusts (REITs) and other real estate funds such as partnerships and LLCs and their securities offerings to investors
- Representing public and private companies, including REITs, in a variety of corporate, tax, securities and real estate matters
- Advising REITs on matters related to the origination of commercial mortgage loans and the restructuring of distressed debt
- Conducting diligence reviews and coordinating deal closings
- Supporting the practice by performing general research and writing
Pursuant with New York law, the salary range for this position will be $225,000 to $260,000 based on experience. Based on years of experience, A Worlds Largest Law Firm associates may have a title of Associate, Managing Associate, or Senior Managing Associate.
