Experience: 10+ years in intellectual property law.Qualifications:
- Expertise in trademark prosecution, management of international trademark portfolios, trademark enforcement and anti-counterfeiting.
- Experience with licensing and transactional agreements.
- Litigation experience before Federal Courts and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
- Proficient leader who excels in client service, team development, and practice growth.
- Preferred candidate will have a portable book of business and bring a client portfolio of intellectual property matters.
Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on potential trademark protection, perform clearance searches, prosecute U.S. trademark applications and manage trademark oppositions.
- Coordinate global trademark portfolio coverage with foreign associates.
- Draft license agreements and other transactional agreements.
- Send and respond to cease and desist letters.
- Work with our M&A team on trademark, brand, and domain name diligence.
- Appear before U.S. federal courts and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
- Supervise an associate and a team of paralegals.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other practice areas to provide comprehensive solutions to clients.
Salary: $175,000 to $450,000

At this time, the good faith estimate of the annual salary range for this position, if the successful applicant is based in New York City, Buffalo, Rochester, Albany, or Hackensack, is $175,000 to $450,000. Where a successful applicant is slotted within this range will vary based on legitimate criteria, such as experience, portables, and skill level. This range is not applicable to other locations.
