The Department of Mass Communication, Advertising and Public Relations at A Private Research University seeks to hire a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the area of communication law and policy. Established in 1947, the College of Communication (COM) at A Private Research University has three departments: Mass Communication, Advertising and Public Relations; Journalism, and Film and Television. Required Skills:
The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. or J.D. in communication or a related field, as well as an active program of research. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the potential to develop a national or international reputation as a scholar. Candidates for this position should have the capacity to teach and develop a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in BU's media science degree programs including communication law and policy, as well as communication theory and social science research methods. In addition to teaching, this role will include mentoring students to achieve their educational and professional goals, and conducting service for the College of Communication and A Private Research University through participation in various committees.
