MAY OFFICE IN BROKEN ARROW, MUSKOGEE, TAHLEQUAH OR MIAMI OFFICES

Licensed attorney to work in multi-office law firm. Focus largely on tax representation and related issues, but with ability to work on other legal matters including civil litigation, estate planning, and other transactional matters.

Must be licensed and in good standing with the Oklahoma Bar Association. A minimum of 3 years actual law and tax experience. Ability to manage complex matters, organizational skills and time management to be productive and efficient while providing quality work to a broad base of clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in court cases regarding tax-related and civil legal disputes
  • Negotiate tax-related compromises with the IRS and state taxing authorities on behalf of their clients
  • Provide guidance on how to structure the purchase and sale of a business by looking at the seller's debts, liabilities, finances and assets
  • Monitor legislative developments and advise clients with respect to the potential impact of pending legislation on their businesses and their personal finances
  • Work on related matters such as probates, guardianships, real estate and other transactional legal issues
  • Draft legal documents and correspondence with precision, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Manage client cases efficiently, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance legal strategies and outcomes for clients
