Description:
Associate with 2 to 3 years of experience to work with the firm's tax
practice group on federal, international, and state and local tax
planning and controversy matters. Experience, or interest in, a broad
range of tax matters including U.S. Federal income, international and
state and local tax planning in connection with domestic and
cross-border mergers and acquisitions, investment fund formation and
real estate transactions (including related documents, filings and
transactional support), as well as tax controversy and disputes (e.g.,
voluntary disclosures, litigation, audits, appeals, collections, etc.)
with the IRS, Tax Court, Department of Justice (Tax Division), and/or
State Tax Authorities. Must possess strong academic performance, and
have excellent research, writing and verbal communication skills, as
well as the ability to work independently and efficiently in
collaboration with a team of other attorneys, paralegals, and office
staff across multiple offices. LL.M. degree in Taxation preferred, but
not required. Qualified candidates can be resident in any of our
Atlanta, Chicago, Florida, or New York offices. Must possess a Juris
Doctorate degree from an ABA accredited law school and be a member of
the Florida, Georgia, Illinois, or New York bars (depending on office
location).
