Allurion Technologies is seeking a Sr. Corporate Counsel, to handle a variety of legal projects including commercial contracts and coordinating with outside counsel on Board matters and Equity Financing.

As a Sr. Corporate Counsel Your Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts and provide advice to internal business clients
  • Closely collaborate with internal clients and cross-functional teams to identify, address and communicate risks and to understand relevant business objectives
  • Streamline and drive efficiency in contract review and completion by crafting and maintaining form agreements and other processes, as appropriate
  • Coordinate with external counsel on Board and corporate governance matters, equity financing and human resource items both domestically and internationally
  • Prepare the organization to be able to operate as a publicly traded company from a legal, compliance and regulatory standpoint
  • Prepare and review SEC filings, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, proxy statements, registration statements and Section 16 filings
  • Coordinate with the finance team on quarterly earnings releases and other public disclosures
  • Maintain Allurion's contract database
  • Design and deliver compliance programs and training to employees
  • Develop and implement internal policies
  • Support special projects as requested, i.e., regulatory.

What We Are Looking for in You:
  • 5+ years of corporate legal experience at a law firm and/or in-house legal department of a public-traded company preferred
  • Law degree required
  • Admitted to practice law in Massachusetts or eligible for Massachusetts In-House Counsel Registration
  • Deep understanding of Securities Act and Exchange Act
  • Excellent drafting and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect and develop positive relationships with a variety of clients
  • Ability to effectively negotiate with third parties
  • Comfort balancing multiple matters simultaneously and efficiently in a high volume, fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment with internal and external parties
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up
  • Subject matter expertise in the healthcare industry (medical device is a plus)
