Job Description:
We are searching for a Senior Trusts & Estates Attorney to handle probate and estates administration matters, estate planning and some estate litigation. This attorney's principal goal will be to serve, support, and advise clients in all stages of planning, while guaranteeing that the clients' transactions comply with state laws and regulations, and actively helping clients avoid potential legal risks and violations.

The ideal Trust & Estates Attorney is a natural self-starter who is ready to hit the ground running and can complete matters with little or no supervision. They must also be able to capably delegate and manage a workflow from client intake to matter resolution. This attorney must bring an ownership mentality as it relates to firm-level performance and accountability. This position is ideal for someone who wants to take control of a caseload and advance their career, partnership potential exists.

Meet with, advise and prepare documents for clients of the firm in legal matters within the Trusts & Estates practice area, and provide expertise, including, but not limited to:
  • Creation of complex wills
  • Establishment & management of trusts
  • Accounting and Tax Returns
  • Probate law
  • Family foundations
  • Wealth transition
  • Estate administration
  • Guardianships
  • Estate litigation

Ensure that work meets the firm's quality control standards.

Excellent communication and written skills

Highly organized and loves systematized processes

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school. An LL.M in Taxation is a plus
  • Admission to practice and in good standing with the State Bar of New Jersey
  • Minimum of 5 years of sophisticated experience with Trusts & Estates matters
  • Representation of high-net-worth individuals, including senior corporate executives and owners of privately held businesses is a plus.

Compensation is commensurate with experience. Bonus, Incentives, Benefits and Retirement offered.
