An International Law Firm is seeking a senior Public Finance Tax attorney to join the Taxation Practice Group in our New York office as a Special Counsel. Qualified candidates must have extensive experience in public finance matters involving Section 103 of the Internal Revenue Code, including tax-exempt governmental bonds, tax-exempt private activity bonds, tax credit bonds, and arbitrage bonds, and will have significant experience representing clients in connection with IRS private letter rulings on complex tax matters, examinations and voluntary closing agreements, and self-correcting remedial actions.Our ideal candidate also will have a robust background in 501(c)(3) financings for health care facilities, continuing care facilities, housing facilities, educational facilities, exempt facilities and a variety of other governmental tax-exempt financing transactions.
We are seeking a client-focused, team-oriented attorney with approximately 10 years or more of relevant experience, strong client relationship, project management, and senior review skills, who will have demonstrated the ability to thrive and prosper in enterprising and complex environments. Additionally, this candidate will have a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and an exceptional work ethic, coupled with a desire to be part of a collaborative environment.

New York Applicants:Pursuant to the New York City Human Rights Law, the expected salary range for this position is between $175,000 - $240,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
