We are looking for:
- An experienced and highly qualified Patent Counsel to join our team.

- Partnering, challenging, and counseling technical and business stakeholders on opportunities to protect technology advances and address competitive IP scenarios, threats, and opportunities.
- Delivering patent-related matters that are strategically critical to the assigned business/product line, contributing to the creation of Solvay's competitive advantage in such an area.
- Operating successfully in an agile and cooperative manner, while ensuring successful delivery of key business objectives.

You will bring:
- A Master's or PhD degree in a scientific chemistry, chemical engineering or material science discipline related to the own domain of responsibility.
- Qualification as a US Patent Attorney.
- 5-10 years of experience as a patent counsel, either from the industry or from private practice.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivation, open-mindedness, structure, collaboration, and team-player mindset.
- Ability to organize a challenging workload and promptly adapt planning when confronted with unforeseen changes.
- Ability to relate easily at all levels within the organization, particularly to those in the Research and Innovation and in Business.

- The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $129,744 to $162,180 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
