What You'll Do:
  • Support and advise on global commercial legal matters with a focus on marketing, digital media, technology, and privacy matters.
  • Draft and negotiate complex client and vendor commercial agreements.
  • Proactively handle legal requests as the first point of contact for company-wide legal matters.
  • Provide ongoing legal counsel on intellectual property laws, data and privacy regulations, state employment laws, and FTC regulations.
  • Build and coordinate legal training to key partners and executive leadership.
  • Counsel and mentor the contracts management function within the legal team.

What you should have:
  • JD from accredited law school licensed to practice law.
  • Minimum of 5+ years' meaningful work experience in a combination of law firm and in-house; in-house experience at an advertising/marketing agency, media agency or similar business a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge of advertising technology, integrated marketing, market research and digital media required.
  • Experience in SAAS licensing, digital content production, influencer, and social media matters.
  • Solid understanding of FTC regulations.
  • Conversational savvy across broad business functions including marketing, HR, finance, and analytics/data science.
  • Experience with intellectual property matters including copyright, trademark, and licensing matters.
  • Experience reviewing and clearing content for creative assets preferred.
  • Strong experience with global data and privacy matters a plus.
