The Role:
A Media-Streaming and Video-Rental Company seeks an experienced Senior Counsel to support our growing Employment Legal needs. This is an exciting and challenging role in a fast-paced environment with primary responsibility for handling employment counseling and litigation on a wide variety of employment issues arising in the United States. This role involves close and ongoing collaboration with the Talent (HR) organization, including supporting technology and engineering teams and various compliance initiatives. The role demands a high risk tolerance smartly applied to each situation; an experienced perspective on employment counseling and managing litigation in the corporate setting is critical. This role is based in Los Gatos and reports to the Senior Director, Employment Legal.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will have 12+ years of experience directly advising on employment-related issues, including investigations, employee relations, compensation, discrimination and harassment, terminations, hiring practices, best practices/policies, leaves and accommodations, and managing employment-related litigation, among other things. The ideal candidate will have a strong business acumen and thrive in an environment where employees have the information and freedom to make impactful decisions for themselves. This is a highly cross-functional role, so strong collaboration and communication skills are required. Previous in-house experience at a California company or studio is strongly preferred.
