Job Details:
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the VP – Securities & Corporate Governance to ensure compliance with all required filings with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission and the New York Stock Exchange.
  • Handling treasury and financing matters, including Cencora, Inc.'s bond offerings, credit facilities, and intercompany debt
  • Providing corporate legal advice and support on tax matters, including U.S. and international reorganizations
  • Overseeing corporate governance matters for our global suite of subsidiary businesses
  • Assisting with insurance matters
  • Assisting with corporate governance matters, including Board and Committee support, policies, and charters, for Cencora, Inc.
  • Working with Cencora's Corporate Responsibility Group, including with regard to the Cencora Impact Foundation and the Cencora Team Assistance Fund
  • Providing legal advice and support as needed in connection with mergers and acquisitions or other strategic transactions
  • Performing related duties as assigned

Experience and Educational Requirements:
  • Must have a minimum of 4 to 8 years of relevant corporate lawyer experience at a top-tier law firm or at a publicly traded company
  • The lawyer in this role should have sufficient expertise in those areas of legal practice that are necessary to provide legal counsel effectively to his or her clients.
  • Law Degree - must be a graduate of an accredited law school and admitted into the state bar.
  • The lawyer in this role is comparable to a senior associate or counsel in a law firm and is a lawyer who can do sophisticated work as an individual contributor (with minimal guidance and oversight from his or her manager in most instances) and/or supervise and project manage other individual legal professionals to do the work.

  • The ability to deliver strategic counseling on significant business matters
  • Excellent at understanding complex topics as well as finding streamlined solutions
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams, build strong relationships, and inspire others to collectively achieve corporate objectives
  • Extremely high attention to detail
  • Experience with the '33 and '34 Act and New York Stock Exchange regulations is preferred but not required
