Overview:
A Technology Company, the leader in aerial imagery, is hiring a skilled and detail-oriented Sr. Corporate Counsel to join our Legal team. This role will play a key part in supporting the company's go-to-market (GTM) strategy by ensuring legal and contractual compliance across various commercial functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract law and commercial transactions, with the ability to work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, business development, and other departments.

Responsibilities:
  • Contract Drafting, Review & Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including but not limited to customer agreements, vendor contracts, SaaS agreements, partnership deals, NDAs, and licensing contracts.
  • Contract Interpretation: Analyze and interpret contractual terms to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to internal stakeholders. Identify potential risks and propose effective solutions.
  • Legal Research: Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting the business. Translate legal developments into actionable guidance for internal teams.
  • GTM Team Management: Lead internal legal team and partner with cross-functional teams to advise on legal aspects of the company's go-to-market strategies, including product launches, pricing models, and marketing initiatives.
  • Policy Development & Risk Management: Contribute to the development of internal legal policies and best practices to minimize risk and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
  • Other Legal Projects: Support ad-hoc legal needs as they arise, including corporate governance, data privacy, compliance, and employment-related matters.

Qualifications:
  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
  • 7-10 years of experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department, with a strong focus on commercial contracts.
  • Experience supporting GTM functions and working closely with business teams.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • People management experience.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:
  • Experience in the tech or SaaS industry.
  • Exposure to local, state, federal and international contracts and legal issues.
