Stack Overflow is looking for a Senior Commercial Counsel to help support all commercial functions and related legal operations. We are looking for someone experienced to join as a true strategic partner and build trust with those around them. This person will report into the Assistance General Counsel.Job Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support for go-to-market and commercial contracting
- Support cross functional initiatives and collaborate with a wide variety of departments including go-to-market leadership and finance
- Ensure the team's delivery of practical approaches to problem solving
Representative Duties:
- Help develop, implement and continually improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency of the legal team to support the company's hypergrowth.
- Become a key member of a highly functional team with a strong sense of customer service to the business.
- Drive the completion of multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced and high energy environment.
- 6+ years' experience as a qualified attorney, including substantial experience within a legal department of a leading software or technology company
- Excellent contract negotiation and drafting skills across a wide array of contracting vehicles
- Ability to think on the fly and drive efficient deal process and fast decision making
- Superior business judgment and the ability to address complex opportunities and issues in creative and effective ways
- Ability to understand our product and platform in an in depth manner to effectively support the GTM team
- Specific experience in a SaaS or enterprise software environment
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills and the ability to create and sustain lasting relationships with customers and management
