What you will be doing:
You will be involved in reviewing and negotiating a variety of customer-facing and technology/channel partner agreements relating to cloud services and electrical vehicle (EV) charging equipment. The position includes a substantial amount of communication with internal and external customers and navigating novel and exciting matters.

What You Will Bring to An American Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Company
  • Draft review, analyze, modify and negotiate commercial agreements, including SaaS agreements, master purchase and services agreements, statements of work, government funding/grant agreements, technology integration agreements, RFPs, and other contracts with customers.
  • Interpret and advise on contract requirements, obligations and risk exposure.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, including sales, finance, policy, product, security, operations, and customer service as appropriate, in a continued effort to streamline contract related processes.
  • Ensure alignment with business needs, proper risk allocation and compliance requirements.
  • Facilitate internal stakeholder contract review/approval process to resolve complex issues and nonstandard customer requirements.
  • Experience with Ironclad and Jira is a strong plus.

Requirements:
  • Position requires a Juris Doctorate and strong preference for membership in good standing with a state bar
  • 10+ years prior experience, including reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements
  • Proven negotiation abilities and business acumen
  • Customer-centric and solutions-oriented approach in closing deals while protecting the best interest of the company
  • Experience in a global business environment
  • Ability to deliver strong results with limited resources, under tight deadlines and with a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Research and analytical skills are a differentiating plus
  • Strong understanding of commercial and financial implications of strategy development process
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication and presentation styles
  • Strong work ethic with ability to work independently
  • In-house counsel experience preferred
