Orrick has an opportunity for a Managing Associate with four years of experience to join our Securities Litigation Group, in any of our U.S. offices.
Orrick’s Securities Litigation Practice brings integrated solutions to the most complex and challenging situations a company may face–defending companies and their officers and directors in securities class actions, leading internal investigations, shareholder derivative actions, mergers and acquisition litigation, advising clients on corporate governance and disclosure matters, and RICO cases and regulatory proceedings.
The ideal candidate will have deep experience litigating securities class actions brought under the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act (“PSLRA”) and Shareholder derivative matters. The ideal candidate will also be familiar with The Securities Act of 1933, The Securities and Exchange Act of 1934 and Delaware Corporate Law (including Section 220 and familiarity with the Business Judgement Rule, and Demand Futility Issues).

Candidates must have four years of major law firm experience or may have worked at the SEC, DOJ or US Attorney’s Office. Strong work ethic, teamwork, solid interpersonal skills and a motivated, entrepreneurial outlook are essential. Candidates must also possess excellent academic credentials along with superior communication and organizational skills.
Membership to the State Bar of the desired office location is strongly preferred.
