Performs risk management review of complex contracts. Participates in due diligence projects. Reviews insurance policy language and performs complex non-medical claims.

Job Responsibility:
  • Reviews and critiques complex contracts, significant organization vendor, affiliation and other written agreements and makes recommendations to mitigate risk to the organization.
  • Provides oversight of assessment of potential risk and production of final due diligence reports on organization potential strategic ventures.
  • Works with the leadership and insurance broker to critique policy language, and negotiates insurance renewals and placement.
  • Assists on significant property and casualty claims.
  • Conducts insurance coverage analysis and audits, as requested.
  • Reviews and evaluates insurance carrier coverage responses including reservations or rights and coverage denials.
  • Negotiates claim resolutions, as needed.
  • Represents Risk Management on committees and in meetings as assigned.
  • Operates under general guidance and work assignments are varied and require interpretation and independent decisions on course of action.

Job Qualification:
  • Juris Doctor required.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
