We are seeking a Professional Responsibility Counsel (“PRC”) to work closely with the Firm's co-General Counsel on reviewing and approving new business intake, professional responsibility issues, liability issues, and ensuring compliance with the applicable Rules of Professional Conduct, the Firm's policies, and the terms of client engagements. Responsibilities include: 1) maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the American Bar Association's Model Rules of Professional Conduct and rules adopted in states where the Firm conducts business, and recognizing jurisdictional differences; 2) providing timely and concise evaluations of conflict screening reports to identify potential ethical and business issues and proposing plans for resolution; 3) supporting the responsible attorneys in resolving conflicts and drafting and/or reviewing conflict waivers as requested; 4) assisting attorneys with drafting and obtaining engagement letters; 5) analyzing prior work histories of potential new hires, identifying any conflict issues, and assisting in resolution; 6) analyzing outside counsel guidelines and requests for proposal; 7) assisting the co-General Counsel with written responses and document production in response to subpoenas to the Firm; and 8) additional independent responsibilities as directed by the Firm's co-General Counsel.

The ideal candidate must be authorized to practice law in one of the jurisdictions where the firm has an office and have a minimum of three years of experience in a law practice or position involving professional responsibility issues (large law firm and litigation experience preferred).

The preferred location for this position is in our Washington, DC, New York or Boston office, however all candidates will be considered regardless of office location.

The good faith base salary range for this position is a minimum of $225,000 to a maximum of $250,000 per year. The actual salary rate offered to candidates within that range will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, years of relevant experience, education, applicable bar admissions, and the candidate's overall qualifications for the position as assessed by the Firm.
